LAMEDITECH Receives U.S. FDA (510K) Approval for Needle-less Laser Blood Withdrawing Unit, ‘HandyRay’ | NBNTV

Health care corporation specializing in laser, LAMEDITECH (CEO: Choi Jong-seok, hereinafter referred to as ‘company’) stated that it has recently received U.S. FDA(510K) approval for its needle-less laser blood withdrawing unit ‘HandyRay’ that it developed and introduced in the market, and is accelerating the entry into global market including the U.S.

With the finalization of the U.S. FDA (510K) approval in early March, LAMEDITECH is scheduled to commence negotiations on U.S. sales with a major domestic medical equipment distribution company that has had great interest in the U.S. distribution of the company’s products. In addition, the move is expected to accelerate the company’s entry into other global markets including Brazil, Switzerland and Mexico, positively affecting the ongoing procedures for sales contract and sales approval within these countries.

 Following the U.S. FDA (510K) approval, the company took part in the 2018 Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2018) held in COEX last year, and around 500 officials of medical equipment firms from home and abroad visited its booth, showing great interest in the innovative laser blood collecting device, HandyRay.

 

An official from the company said that “while there had been great interest on the innovativeness and benefits of the laser blood collecting device which is totally different from the conventional needle-type unit, we experience increased credibility following the U.S. FDA approval,” adding that “many companies from home and abroad that have experienced our product during the expo period are showing great interest and we expect to expand into other markets gradually.”

LAMEDITECH is a venture company established in January of 2012 that has only a dozen or so employees, but it has differentiated technological capability in terms of laser miniaturization, and its laser blood collecting unit HandyRay is a product that has enhanced the drawback of a needle-type blood collecting unit that is prone to risks of secondary inflammation and pain.

Choi Jong-seok, CEO of LAMEDITECH said “he aims to improve credibility on product safety and innovativeness, based on which he aims to materialize business achievements within the global market.”
